Linda Fagerström is an art historian, art critic and lecturer in cultural studies at Malmö Universi


Parts of the journal's board has for this issue formed a collective editorial and presents a special issue where the common theme is art and collaboration. In December returns pallet ordinary editor Sophie Allgårdh with a double issue.
In this issue, we meet artists who collaborate with each other as well as with other groups or organizations 2011 independent films in the community in projects that may have aesthetic as well as social or political overtones. Many of the participants expressed a positive view of collaboration as a method, but some also discusses problems and pitfalls. Beyond the open cooperation romantic shimmer, it is a fact that collaborative work can take place on unequal terms or based on false expectations of what the other party will contribute. From different perspectives discussed these critical issues in the art historian Linda Fagerström and artist Anna Ganslandt articles.
In the last issue of The palette was recognized 2011 independent films magazine 70th anniversary, including a selection of older articles reprinted. Also in this issue we return to the pallet's history by re-publication of Walter Ruth debate article Active Culture in practice from No. 1:1970. The author also explains in a lengthy 2011 independent films interview of the artist Kalle Brolin on 70s culture debate and activism with cultural workers boycott of Gothenburg's 350-year anniversary as a concrete example.
In a 16-page blocks in the newspaper has seven different constellations of artists freely given disposal area. We also publish a couple of reviews, where Jan Svenungsson reflections on the research journal ArtMonitor becomes a reconnection to the discussions in the pallet's 2011 independent films special issue "Art Education" (No. 4:2006) and the subsequent debate about art universities research. We are also delighted to be in this issue to introduce several young writers, among them Angelica Olsson and Ellen Suneson.
Finally we want to thank BUS (Visual Arts Copyright Society in Sweden) and the Swedish magazines for this year's 2011 independent films BUS prize, which was awarded the palette at a ceremony held at the Art Academy in Stockholm on 4 June. We also thank the Association 2011 independent films of Swedish cultural journals for the nomination for the year's cultural magazine in 2010 - an award which at this writing has not yet been distributed. 2011 independent films

Kalle Brolin is an artist, writes in free newspaper and is a director of Gallery Box in Gothenburg. During the summer, he has exhibited at the Bucharest Biennale and in the autumn he exhibits at the Biennale in Liverpool.
Dånk! is a Gothenburg based collective 2011 independent films that works in the intersection between art, technology 2011 independent films and design, but with a particular focus on sound. Dånk! Collective consisting of Alexander Berman, Oscar Ramos, Lalya Gaye, Olle Huge and Richard Widerberg.
Linda Fagerström is an art historian, art critic and lecturer in cultural studies at Malmö University. The research right now in the of the Arts funded project Gender and region of female artists representation in art museum collections.
Annica Karlsson Rixon is an artist and curator. PhD student at Faculty at Göteborg University, specializing in photographic interpretation. Collaborating since 2004, with Anna Viola Hallberg.
Ellen Suneson is an independent 2011 independent films curator and museum hosted at Moderna Museet Malmö. Curated recently Jenny Grönvall exhibition Again ... Words will pass through our bodies, above our heads on the circuit in Malmö together with Julia Bjornberg.
Lena Lakeshore is a priest in Lund and has worked for many years with the dialogue between art, theater and church. She was the project of Mikael Lundberg's exhibition Traces of an ongoing memory during the summer appeared in Lund Cathedral.
