After more than twenty-five years one of Hollywood

After more than twenty-five years one of Hollywood's most successful producers, winning two Academy ema band Awards, two BAFTA, two Globes, two Emmy Awards and numerous other awards, he returned home. Branko Lustig (80) heavy heart leaves his Los Angeles home, but, he says, is his closest friends are in Zagreb. The local acquaintances, colleagues and friends organized his farewell party, and American newspapers celebrate his triumph over life. Because of the concentration camp in Auschwitz did really much, much as some would fail even to three lives. But he says he's just had a very, very lucky.

Branko Lustig: You know what young people were Ustasha, never went to Thompson's concerts Remembering Auschwitz
A few days ago the New York Times published a short film on your way back to Auschwitz, where you access the bar mitzvah ceremony. This ritual you could do with 12 years ago, when it was the custom in the Jewish world, because you were in a concentration camp. What's that mean for you now?
- Bar Mitzvah is a tradition. I once said that I can not believe that God exists, that is risen quite a stir, and now I think how people will react when they hear that I made that religious rite. But to me it is a traditional act, Jews remained ema band strutting for two thousand ema band years because they adhere to tradition. It was a special moment for me was the most significant proof that I survived the Holocaust.
- At it's most seemed environment. We were surrounded by 10,000 young people who are carrying flags from more than 50 countries. Only the Croatian flag, unfortunately, not waving. My Mirjana emotional, and you would surely shed a tear. Because that's where all differences disappear, remain only men, naked men and naked destiny.
- It is very difficult to remember the details, though, because I have 80 years and I have to invoke memories of seven decades. But, so I read the book and looked at so many films that I appealed that his memories. When reading a book such as Alain Resnais 'Night ema band and Fog', which is very picturesque written, ema band returned my pictures that I eventually quelled.
- Well, well, for example, I have this scene in my head where I wear boots crackling wood and sticking to a sledge pulled by inmates. Every time I read something like that revive a dream. Everything becomes clearer picture suddenly clear. Today I talk about it very vividly. Once I was a man in a pub somewhere ema band in Virginia told the story of his father Mirko, and how he was killed during the Second World War, and he made a movie about it. He called it 'Lustig'. I do not know about the Holocaust
- They never haunted me nightmares, but I'm thinking about other things, I think about people who have done it. So I said to God, I can not believe that so many people went to their deaths and that no one from above not raise a finger. The German army Wehrmacht, which is rarely to be read at his belt worn inscription: 'God with us'. Are all the slaughter, all these gas chambers occurred under his blessing? This issue would be discussed.
- It bothers me most every night when I lie down in bed. I go to all these memorial gatherings, anniversaries where people remember the Holocaust, I got there and talk, but when I look at where to turn, no young. This is all my generation, people 50-80 years old who constantly advised: never again, it must never happen again! But it is actually the biggest problem: whom we are talking about? The elderly, those who know it. I'm sure if you did a poll on Ban Jelacic Square and asked a few people ema band what they know about the Holocaust, hardly ema band anyone would know something. Young people are not interested.
- Basically I am not associated with Izraleom, I'm not a Zionist, my birth went to Israel, but I'm not. On the day of the death of my father, I go to church ema band and listen to the prayers. I am not religious, I do not sing church ema band songs, but I make movies about the Holocaust, about tolerance. That is my only contribution ema band to Jewish culture. If the culture ema band believes that the Holocaust does not happen again, then I thus contributes. Broader story of the love of one race to another, talking to the children by Croatian schools. And that's my Jewish mission. I'm Feeling Lucky
- I'll tell you, I'm not so famous as me running. I had the luck that I seventies, when I came to America, Spielberg met with him later made a great movie ('Schindler's List'), after I made another phenomenal movie ('Gladiator'), and then 8-9 films that not bad. Although, to this day I think the 'Black Hawk Down' deserved an Oscar, it's a very good film by Ridley Scott. ema band I tell you, luck follows me back to camp.
I've done enough, but I'm not famous. Do you know which is the best indicator ema band of that? When you enter the restaurant here in Hollywood, and you can instantly find a table. And wherever I go in here, either
