2014’s Breakfast Show of the Year (10 million plus) award, sees 95.8 Capital FM's The Capital Breakfast Show with Dave Berry & Lisa Snowdon lock horns with London rivals The Breakfast Show with Penny Smith & Paul Ross for BBC London 94.9FM, LBC 97.3's Nick Ferrari 2012 movie awards at Breakfast, previous gold winners KISS Breakfast with Rickie, Melvin and Charlie, as well as 5 live Breakfast.
Breakfast Show of the Year (under 10 million) sees last year's winners Gem 106's Sam & Amy bidding to make it two in a row, but not if challengers from Forth One, BBC Radio Ulster, Capital Yorkshire and BBC Three Counties Radio, have anything to do with it. 
Station of the Year (under 1 million) is a three-way tussle between BBC Tees, Moray Firth Radio and National Prison 2012 movie awards Radio. UK Station of the Year features three past winners, talkSPORT, BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 4.
The nominees for Best Specialist Music Programme include David Rodigan at BBC Radio 1Xtra's gain with colleague Mistajam also making the list. Mark Radcliffe's first year at the helm of BBC Radio 2's The Folk Show has earned him a nod but BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe, and a second nod for XFM's Scroobius 2012 movie awards Pip, are also in the mix.
The 2012 movie awards Radio Academy Awards are judged 2012 movie awards by industry and media professionals and are organised by The Radio Academy. Over 130 judges participated this year, including Sky News' Kay Burley, Louise Hastings 2012 movie awards and Dermot Murnaghan as well as presenters Janet Ellis, Richard Arnold, 2012 movie awards Moira Stuart, Colin Murray, Bobby Friction, Aasmah Mir, Trish Adudu and Emma B.
